How to Meditate Video

Many of you have asked me to provide a resource for learning to meditate through coaching.  I haven’t found a place in San Francisco that I’ve loved yet, but I have found an incredible video (shown above) that has helped me to get started.    As you know, I’m testing this out in the context of Buddhism, so the video provides the Buddhist perspective and context behind meditation.  There’s no need to believe in Buddhism to get the benefits from the guided instructions.  However, if you’re like me, and want additional reasoning behind why people meditate, this provides that context.

Before you start, I urge you to first ask yourself why you want to meditate.  It can be simple, like “I want to focus more,” or it can be complex like, “I want to feel less anxious and achieve meditative bliss while doing all things in life.” Whatever it is, before you start the video, ask yourself why.  This will really help set your intention.  For more on this, read my blog post: Why I Meditate.

Enjoy!
